CrossPurposes started life as ‘Richard and Catherine’s blog’ as we were about to undergo major changes in life, location and patterns of work; then it developed into a weekly diary of our discoveries on a three month sabbatical in Cape Town. Now after a bit of a gap, we’re back again with monthly observations about life welcoming international students from all over the world. We’ve changed the name to reflect that. Our purpose is to live by the Cross of Jesus. But when we’re interacting with cultures from around the world it is also easy to get at cross-purposes!
