CrossPurposes started life as ‘Richard and Catherine’s blog’ as we were about to undergo major changes in life, location and patterns of work; then it developed into a weekly diary of our discoveries on a three month sabbatical in Cape Town. Now we’re aiming to post monthly observations about life, culture and international student ministry. We’ve changed the name to reflect that: our purpose is to live by the Cross of Jesus, but when we’re interacting with cultures from around the world it is also easy to get at cross-purposes!
